Maximize Social Media at Your Next Virtual Event
With fall conference season in full swing, how are you planning to facilitate social engagement on a virtual platform?
Below is a suggestion for how you might provide attendees with content rich images they'll be excited to share. And are relevant to the session they just heard.
When I graphic record at live events, it's fun to see people photograph parts of the murals that speak most to them and either share them directly with friends, or more broadly on social media. It's a great way to keep the conversation going, and build on it with new ideas.
Having content rich visuals to share is even more important at a virtual conference than at in-person events. There's no longer an opportunity to post photos of that great view from the lobby, selfies with colleagues, images of session posters, or graphic recordings. But we can still manage that last one by having the sessions graphic recorded digitally, and create session-specific images of key content to share on social media.
Here's how: Use a graphic recorder to synthesize the top 3 content points from each session, sized for social media, and branded with your logo. Post those after each session to keep the energy and excitement about that topic or speaker flowing.
Your attendees will appreciate having visual reminders of key session takeaways, and your brand awareness will grow at the same time.
